The Onion Talks - Terms and Conditions 2026

AGREEMENT

By downloading, accessing, or using The Onion Talks mobile app (the App), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you don't agree, don't use the App.

The App is operated by THE ONION TALKS SL, a Spanish company registered in Salt, Girona.

ELIGIBILITY

You must be at least 13 years old, or 16 in the European Union, to use the App. By using the App, you confirm you meet this age requirement.

YOUR ACCOUNT

You create an account by signing in with Google or Apple. You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide, keeping your account secure, and all activity under your account.

You can delete your account at any time from Profile, Account and Subscription, Delete Account.

YOUR CONTENT

Anything you write in the App — reflections, favorites, feedback — is your content. You own it. We don't claim any rights to your reflections.

You grant us a limited license to store and display your content back to you so the App works. We don't publish, share, or sell your content.

You are responsible for your content. Don't submit anything illegal, harmful, or infringing on others' rights.

OUR CONTENT

The questions, design, branding, illustrations, app code, and all related materials in The Onion Talks are our intellectual property. You get a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use them inside the App. You may not copy, republish, or redistribute our content.

SUBSCRIPTIONS AND PAYMENTS

The Onion Talks offers premium features through auto-renewing subscriptions.

Billing

Purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store.
Your Apple ID account is charged at confirmation of purchase.
Subscriptions auto-renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours before the end of the current period.

Managing your subscription

Manage, cancel, or change your subscription in your Apple ID Settings, Subscriptions.
Uninstalling the App does not cancel your subscription.

Free trial

Any unused portion of a free trial is forfeited when you purchase a subscription.
You can cancel during the free trial without charge, up to 24 hours before it ends.

Refunds

Refunds are handled by Apple according to their policies. We cannot issue refunds directly. Request a refund at reportaproblem.apple.com.

ACCEPTABLE USE

You agree not to:

Use the App to harass, abuse, or harm others
Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code
Interfere with the App's operation through spam, server overload, or bypassing security
Use the App for any illegal purpose
Resell, sublicense, or redistribute access to the App

TERMINATION

You can stop using the App at any time by deleting your account.

We can suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms or use the App in a way that harms the service or other users.

DISCLAIMER

The App is provided as is. We aim for a reliable, high-quality experience, but we don't guarantee the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or meet every expectation.

The App is designed for reflection and connection. It is not a substitute for professional medical, psychological, or therapeutic advice. If you're experiencing a mental health crisis, please contact a qualified professional or your local emergency services.

LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

To the maximum extent allowed by law, THE ONION TALKS SL is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability where it cannot legally be excluded, such as gross negligence or willful misconduct.

CHANGES TO THESE TERMS

We may update these Terms. We will revise the Last Updated date and notify you in-app for material changes. Continued use after changes means you accept the new Terms.

GOVERNING LAW

These Terms are governed by the laws of Spain. Any dispute will be handled by the courts of Girona, Spain, except where consumer protection law entitles you to proceedings in your country of residence.
